Shocking Footage Shows Instant Law Enforcement Suffer Blade Attacks in Ambush

Both Senior Officers Moments Prior to the Assailant Got Stunned

One senior officer that leaped to the help of a colleague that got attacked by a knife attacker was granted the Royal Recognition for Valor.

Sgt Tim Ansell fought with 27-yr-old Jacob Brown after he placed a knife to the throat of his colleague Sergeant Marc Foster.

Brown initiated the assault as the law enforcement personnel and their partner, PC Marcus Wolstencroft, were speaking to a motorist after a road collision in the area in July 2023.

Brown attacked with blade the two Sergeant Ansell and Sgt Foster before PC Wolstencroft stunned him with a stun gun.

"Policeman knifed," the officer could be heard saying over his communication device.

Bodyworn and dashboard camera video shared by the agency revealed Brown, who was dressed in dark clothing with a hood covering head, run up to Sgt Foster from the rear with a knife outstretched.

He collided with the policeman who lost balance and dropped to the street, after which Sergeant Ansell stepped in and struggled to restrain him to the ground although being repeatedly struck with the weapon.

PC Wolstencroft Stopped the Assailant, Jacob Brown, with a Taser

PC Wolstencroft drew his Taser and waited for a safe opportunity, ending the struggle to an conclusion.

Sergeant Ansell can be heard to say: "Please provide help on my throat now, I got knifed in the neck."

Sergeant Ansell received multiple open wounds to his neck and additional wounds to his limbs and body, whereas Sgt Foster experienced knife wounds.

The department said Sergeant Foster employed his hands to control his partner's bleeding prior to emergency responders reached the scene.

The new recognition arrives after the law enforcement team received departmental Bravery Awards in October 2023 and the John Egerton Bravery Award from the local union branch in early 2024.

They further earned a Regional Courage Honor in mid-2024.

"The actions of the entire team eventually saved themselves and meant no bystanders experienced any injuries."

Brown was sentenced to an indefinite hospital order in early 2024, as stated by authorities.
